Our new name
Why did you change your name?
Fit Approach is now Flex & Flow!
We have come a long way in the last 9 years, from a dream and a suitcase full of pink shoelaces to a dynamic space humming with inspiring voices on fitness, wellness, culture, and inclusivity.
And now we’re bringing together all of our magic under one roof, to channel our energy and resources in more powerful ways.
Thank you for being part of this community for so long, and helping us grow and expand over the years. We have a new name, but the heart of what we do stays the same: to move together, educate, inspire, create change, and build community.
This community will always be our number one priority, and we are excited to be able to continue to move with you, get inspired by you, and keep growing with you.
What is happening to Sweat Pink?
The Sweat Pink community is here to stay, we’ll still be using the #sweatpink hashtag and sweating pink like there’s no tomorrow, and we hope you will too. #SweatPink is our original family name and we wouldn’t be anywhere today without this amazing tribe.
We encourage the #sweatpink fam to also start using #flexandflow and #activeist hashtags, because we are opening our doors and extending a hug and a welcome to everyone in this big tent.
And to further bring everyone together, we'll be renaming the Sweat Pink Facebook group to Activeists, and we'll be introducing some new ways to connect and engage and grow your circle both online and off.
What are the new hashtags and handles?
@FlexandFlow: the umbrella for our whole family. Community anywhere, anytime.
@FlexandFlowPDX: our physical studio located in Portland, OR (lovingly known as PDX!)
#FlexandFlow: our all-encompassing hashtag for all things movement, community, and inspiration.
#FlexandFlowPDX: our hashtag for all things connected to our yoga and fitness studio in Portland!
Will there still be brand campaign opportunities?
Yes, we will continue working with brand partners, and the opportunities will be bolder and better, just like our new name!
Pregnancy & other modifications
We welcome all bodies, all abilities, and all practices at Flex & Flow.
Can I practice while pregnant?
If you and your birth care providers have decided practicing while pregnant is safe for you, we would be delighted to have you on the mat during this exciting season. Our instructors are well-versed in suggesting modifications, and we encourage you to honor your own body and its unique needs. Our founder, Jamie King, has a free resource here with suggestions for how to continue practicing safely during each trimester.
I have an injury / disability / other limitation. Can I attend class?
Yes! We welcome all bodies, abilities, and practices. We encourage you to let your instructor know if you're looking for support in a specific area, such as finding new or better ways to modify particular movements.
That said, you never need to explain the way you choose to practice—our instructors will never shame or question your decisions during class to modify your practice as works for you. We're here to support you and we look forward to moving with you.
