5 Reasons to do a 30-Day Fitness Challenge
The first time I signed up for a 30-day fitness challenge, I was so invested in getting my money's worth I did the entire thing. Showed up for every single moment of it.
I went from moving maybe 3-4 times a week to working out consistently every day for 30 days. And I didn't even injure myself! In fact, I was flying high by the end of those 30 days. I felt so strong, capable, and accomplished.
I really did feel a huge difference in my overall fitness after that 30-day challenge, and I was really proud of myself for showing up, even on days when I really preferred to hit snooze, or just roll right onto the couch after dinner.
Even though I chafed a little against how structured the challenge was—not me with this stubborn / independent streak 😆 —I also really appreciated how the format took most of the 'work' out of making sure I found time to move over the holidays.
I loved that fitness challenge in the way that people love to hate burpees.
Because no matter how much I like to imagine myself as a carefree, spontaneous person, there just aren't as many opportunities over the holidays to follow your fancies. Between travel schedules, holiday parties, and hosting obligations, time for most of us just gets tight.
Not to mention, winter weather can put a real damper on adventure and whimsy.

It's a tale as old as time: person works themselves to the bone working, cooking, cleaning, traveling, hosting, gifting, repeating, over the holidays ... and completely neglects to fill up their own glass.
It doesn't have to be that way. We don't have to sacrifice our health and our joy in service of those we love. Signing up for a challenge gives you an advance permission slip to give yourself just a fraction of the love you'll extend to your loved ones this holiday season.
